Patient Care Assistant II (Operating Theatre)

1.Prepare, issue and handle surgical instruments, endoscopes, equipments, furnitures and related items for operating procedures.
2.Assist in admitting patient and providing general patient care.
3.Assist nurse and doctor to prepare and after care of patient for clinical procedures: such as positioning and transportation.
4.Assist in patient monitoring and caring before, during and after operating procedures.
5.Check patient’s condition including measuring blood pressure, height and weight, urine test, etc.
6.Handle and dispatch sterile instruments, endoscopes, equipments and consumables.
7.Handle, prepare and aftercare of endoscopes for surgical procedures according to work instruction.
8.Use of Surgical Instrument Tracing System (SITS) for instrument and endoscope management including issue operation picking list and stock checking on its expiry date and condition.
9.Maintain cleanliness and tidiness of the Operating Theatre(OT) environment and equipment independently.
10.Prepare patient education pamphlets and assist nurse to provide simple instruction to patient.
11.Conduct routine check of equipment as instructed.
12.Regular stock check of inventory and consumables.
13.Ordering of consumables items and store keeping.
14.Perform other related duties as assigned by supervisor as required.
Shift Duty
1.(a) Completed F.5 / S.5 or equivalent; OR
(b) Completed F.3 / S.3 or equivalent with relevant working experience.
2.Holding certificate of the Health Care Assistant Training Course / Care-related Support Worker Training Course accredited by Hospital Authority. (see Remarks)

HK$19,764 per month
Up to 5% of total basic salary as end-of-contract gratuity may be offered to contract staff upon completion of the contract subject to satisfactory performance.
